Suggested Usage: Combine 6 rounded Tbsp. Jerky Seasoning with 1/4 cup water. Stir until dissolved. Allow marinade to set 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow seasoning to rehydrate. Add 1 lb thinly sliced lean meat and marinade for no less than 2 hours (overnight is best) before drying.
For a spicy Jerky add 2-3 tsp. crushed red pepper to seasoning marinade.
Can be made in the oven you don't have dehydrator. Stretch meat out on a paper towel to drain while you clean your top overn rack, place a sheet of foil on the bottom rack to aid in clean up.
Set oven at lowest temperature to dry meat. Crack open oven door to allow moisture to escape. Drying times will vary due to oven differences and meat size. Smaller pieces will be dry in approximately 2-2 1/2 hours and larger pieces may take 4-5 hours.
Ingredients: Dehydrated soy sauce (wheat, soybeans, salt, maltodextrin), salt, onion and garlic powder, hydrolyzed corn gluten, soy protein and wheat gluten, MSG, spice, lemon juice powder, natural flavor, and not more than 2% silicon dioxide added to prevent caking. Allergens: Wheat and soy.
